‘Wizard of Oz’ comes to Grass Valley starting Nov. 5

An adaptation of the Frank Baum’s classic, “The Wizard of Oz,” will be performed the first two weekends in November by The Children’s Theater Company of The Nevada County Performing Arts Guild.

Shows will be at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

Special shows are scheduled for area schools (see box for times and dates)

The story features the familiar and beloved Oz characters: Dorothy, The Lion, Tinman & Scarecrow along with many creative additional characters.

It’s modern, witty and full of twists and turns. Introducing Penny Pearl, the Good Witch of the South — Glinda’s (the Good Witch of the North’s) sister — spouting witty wisdoms from the south.
