Victorian Faire supports local nonprofit groups

Once again, it’s time to start the holidays at Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s Victorian Faire with the ladies of St. Catherine’s Guild. This year’s event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and features antiques, jams, baked goods and candies, Christmas decorations and more. Enjoy a delicious lunch cooked by the ladies of St. Catherine’s Guild or a slice of pie as a break from your gift buying.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s St. Catherine’s Guild has hosted the Victorian Faire for over 50 years. Proceeds from this Faire and St. Catherine’s Guild’s other large fundraiser, the Shrove Tuesday Waffle Sale, are redirected back into the community to many local nonprofits. Donations have routinely been given to the Nevada Union Choir, Hospitality House, Interfaith Food Ministry, National Alliance for Mentally Ill, Nevada County Hospice of the Foothills, Friendship Club, KARE Crisis Nursery, Booth Family House (Salvation Army), Welcome Home Vets and Pioneer Park Ministry.

For information, call Emmanuel Episcopal Church at (530) 273-7876.
