Song writers, performers set to perform in Nevada City
Andrew Kastner and Larry John McNally from the The Groove Poets will be performing as a duo for the first gig in Nevada City at the Golden Era from 7-10 p.m. May 15, according to a release. There’s no cover for the show.
Kastner and McNally together and individually have written songs that were recorded by The Eagles, Don Henley, Aaron Neville, Bonnie Raitt, Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson, The Staple Singers, Barry White and others. Kastner also is the co-founder of the legendary soul band Jack Mack and the Heart Attack from Los Angeles.
Kastner and McNally’s music is soulful, lyrical, catchy and poignant. It is a mix of the best of what American music has to offer: soul, blues, New Orleans R&B, funk and folk.
