Solar Cook-off & Potluck set for Saturday in Nevada City

This year’s annual Solar Cook-Off & Potluck hosted by members and friends of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will be held on Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 615 Hollow Way, Nevada City.

Cooking begins at 10 a.m.; bring your solar cooker as well as the ingredients for a favorite dish to share.

For those of you who don’t have a solar cooker, come and learn how to make one of your own so you’ll be prepared for your next camping trip, power outage, natural disaster or other emergency.

The potluck starts at 4 p.m. and all food will be shared. No alcohol, drugs, tobacco or foul language allowed.

For questions, contact Ken Dorris at 530-292-4213.
