Come to “Holiday Shop Ananda” Saturday, Nov. 30, and show off your ugly Christmas sweater.

“Don’t have one? Come anyway,” said “JLove” Jackson, who is organizing the annual sales event under the aegis of the Blissful Business Community enterprise at Master’s Marketplace in Ananda Village.

Holiday Shop Ananda is strategically scheduled between the two biggest shopping days of the year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Jackson said.

“We will offer exhibitor discounts starting at 20 percent off on books, essential oils, meditation accessories, cards, art, music, boutique items, hand-crafted gifts and jewelry, terrariums, massage and other holistic service gift certificates, and more,” she said.

Additionally, “marketplace grocery items will be on sale at 10 percent off,” she added.

“This is a no-alcohol, family-friendly event,” Jackson said.

“While there will be no prize for the ugliest Christmas sweater, you can purchase raffle tickets and win a prize,” she announced.

Part of a worldwide spiritual community, Ananda Village is situated on approximately 900 acres on the San Juan Ridge about 15 miles north of Nevada City.

Originally from LaGrange, North Carolina, Jackson is a six-year resident of Ananda Village. She is a yoga and meditation teacher, and a Sharing Nature guide for the Karma Yoga program at the Expanding Light Retreat at Ananda Village. As an entrepreneur, she started Blissful Business Community in 2015.

Jackson has studied the spiritual side of business, which she considers the most important aspect of material success. To learn how to infuse her spiritual principles into the practical skills needed to run a business, she enrolled in a Business Ignitor course at Sierra Commons.

Sierra Commons is a nonprofit co-working telecenter in Nevada City. Business Ignitor is an intensive, six-week business course designed for new business startups and existing business kickstarts.

Using what she learned at Sierra Commons, Jackson said she is now able to do a better job of targeting the market for the online business directory on her website http://www.blissfulcommunity.com.

Additionally, she announced she plans to start a business incubator/academy at Ananda Village in January.

“We have so many great minds and talents at Ananda Village,” Jackson said. “We’ll all be at Holiday Shop Ananda, and we hope to see our neighbors there.”
