Nevada City’s 26th annual Psychic Fair returns this weekend to the Miners Foundry Cultural Center, with more readers, healers, and body workers than ever before. The Psychic Fair is best known for bringing together a unique blend of alternative health professionals and metaphysicians in a warm and welcoming environment, according to organizers.

For people interested in alternative medicine to those curious about the mystical, this year’s Psychic Fair offers attendees an array of vendors including psychics, medical intuitives, acupuncturists, massage therapists, herbalists, and alchemists. Attendees can also learn about other forms of alternative medicine such as Iridology, a technique that uses the patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the human iris to determine information about a patient’s systemic health. Take in a lecture or workshop and gain information and knowledge, re-kindle a past fascination, or discover a new interest.

“It is a great opportunity to have a glimpse around the corner of your own life,” explains Marza Miller, who has produced the Psychic Fair for the last nine years. “If you have never attended, expect to find a high caliber of skilled people in their respective fields, plus a community minded event that attracts people who are interested in exchanging ideas and looking at new perspectives in life.”

The Psychic Fair marketplace also features one-of-a-kind artisan jewelry, clothes, and accessories, natural skincare products, gem essences, crystals, and much more.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, there will be a blessing ceremony for revered reader Haleakala Iolani Pule who passed away last August.

Those who were touched by her are encouraged to give their prayers and share their stories.

The Psychic Fair is also a fundraiser for the Miners Foundry Cultural Center.

Proceeds from this event go towards the care and preservation of the historic building.

Admission is $5 at the door. The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday (April 11) and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (April 12).

The Foundry is located at 325 Spring St., Nevada City. For more information, go to http://www.minersfoundry.org or call 530-265-5040.
