New film on alternative cancer therapies airs Saturday in Nevada City

A new film that explores whether to use alternative or Western therapies to heal cancer will be shown Saturday in Nevada City.

iCureCancer.com, starts at 1 p.m. at The Magic Theatre, 107 Argall Way. Tickets are $10, suggested donation.

Ian Jacklin, the film’s producer and director, will be present for the showing and will stay afterward for a discussion on cancer and also vaccines. The full event is expected to last until 4 p.m.



Jacklin is a former Canadian and North American kickboxing champion. At one time he was ranked #2 in the world.

He also was a professional actor and spent 10 years in Hollywood; the last eight years, he has been an independent film maker.




He runs a company called co-dependentpictures.com which has also produced two previous films on musicians.
