Artists from the Nevada County Plein Air Painters are having a group show of mostly landscapes at the Lucchesi Wine Tasting Room, 128 Mill St., Grass Valley for the month of June.

The NCPAP is a like-minded group of artists who like to venture out together to paint on location. Some of the artists have been painting together for 20 years. Their challenge is trying to capture a scene in about two hours before the light changes.

The NCPAP invites the public to a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, when they can meet the artists and talk about their work.

Some of the artists participating in the show are Odette Brush, Lynn Campbell, Sandra DeLong, Francis Jorgenson,Warren Knox, Christine Montanino, Susan Moreno,Daniel Peck, Linda Roemisch, Marilyn Rose, Kim Roseth, Christine Springer,Wendy Teichert, Jane Welles, Laverne Westphal, and Kathleen Woolsey.

The artists meet once a month at the Briarpatch Coop for informal critiques. Anyone is welcome to join and skill level is not a factor.
