Nevada County Concert Band brings the ‘60s back to Nevada City

The 65-piece Nevada County Concert Band presents its first of three Picnic & Pops Concerts from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Nevada City’s Pioneer Park. With the theme “The Sixties,” music will include Tijuana Brass, The Beach Boys, West Side Story, Jersey Boys, the Beatles, a tribute to James Dean, remembering the Space Race, the theme from Monty Python, and other great hits.

This family-friendly concert is free and appropriate for all ages.

Nonprofit donations are welcome. Patrons are encouraged to dress up, and enjoy the fun.



Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic dinner, or enjoy treats from the hot dog or ice cream vendors.

Pioneer Park is at the corner of Park Avenue/Nimrod Street in Nevada City.
