Three-time Grammy winner Paul McCandless will join renowned harpist Motoshi Kosako for a special concert 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at Summer Thyme’s Bakery & Deli, 231 Colfax Ave., Grass Valley.

McCandless, who plays oboe, English horn, soprano sax, bass clarinet, and Kosako will play as part of Summer Thyme’s Jazz Series.

Intimate and subtle musical conversation between Motoshi’s harp and Paul’s woodwinds create purest sound impression unlike any other.

They will play original compositions written in wide range of style from oriental ethnic music, western classical music to modern jazz.

Doors open 5 p.m. for food and drink service; concert is at 7 p.m.

A special event menu will be provided; local beers, organic wines and specialty cocktails available.

Price is $25 in advance / $27 at door / $20 (group discount / for groups of 2 or more people)/ $15(Student discount with ID)
