The new owners of Sierra Moonshine, a home brew supply shop, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to support their newest product, Pro Brewers Siphon.

The campaign, which started Sunday, aims to raise $30,000 by June 1.

“We’re off to a great start, having raised over $6,000 in the first 24 hours,” said Anthony Schoensee, c-owner, with Justin Coyle, of Nevada County-based Sierra Moonshine.

The co-owners enlisted Scott Raitt, of Connekt LLC, a local industrial design and engineering operation, to design what they claim is the first and only “100 percent sanitizable” homebrewing siphon starter.

“This new design is a game changer for our home brewing community,” Schoensee added. “This could be a wonderful opportunity for us to partner together and reach a wide audience of folks in our brewing circles.”
