InConcert Sierra will present acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw and pianist Anna Polansky 2 p.m. Sunday.

After drawing rave reviews at InConcert Sierra’s November 2012 concert, Artistic Director Ken Hardin took no time in booking them again — actually doing so on their way to the airport following their local performance — to open the 2013-14 season.

The program will include Mozart’s “Sonata in B-flat major, K.454,” which is in a class all by itself among Mozart’s violin sonatas; the reflective and exuberant “Sonata for Violin and Piano” by Aaron Copland; and the Brahms “Sonata No. 3 in D minor,” which Hardin says is “… stunningly beautiful. Every single note has meaning, every melodic line goes to the heart. And to hear it played by Jackiw and Polansky will be breathtaking. The chemistry between these world-class players is something to behold.”

Boston Globe music critic Jeremy Eichler wrote, “It took all of one phrase to realize we were in for a performance of uncommon musical substance.”

Jackiw began playing the violin at age 4 and holds a bachelor of arts from Harvard University and an artist diploma from the New England Conservatory. His sensational London debut in 2000 with the Philharmonic Orchestra was featured on the front page of The Times. Of that performance, The Strad wrote, “A 14-year-old violinist took the London music world by storm.”

The dynamic Russian-born pianist Polonsky is widely in demand as a soloist and chamber musician and has toured extensively throughout the world. She made her solo piano debut at the age of 7 at the Special Central Music School in Moscow and immigrated to the United States in 1990. She earned her master’s degree from the Juilliard School.

There will be a 20-minute pre-concert forum with Dr. Aileen James at 1:15 p.m.
