Haunted tours of Nevada City, Grass Valley offered 3 weekend nights in October

Haunted Nevada City and Grass Valley tours will be given Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. in October. Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Children 5 and under are admitted free.

Walking tours of Haunted Nevada City and Haunted Grass Valley will be offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in October.

Actor Mark Lyon of Nevada City, who has been hosting the tours for 12 years, said each tour starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Children 5 and under are admitted free.

Admission fee is paid to the guide at the tour location.



No reservations are necessary. Guests need merely to show up at the tour location at the time of the tour.

Tour departing locations and times are as follows:




— Haunted Grass Valley tours will depart 7:30 p.m. Fridays from the Grass Valley Library at 207 Mill St.

— Haunted Nevada City Broad Street tours will depart 7:30 p.m. Saturdays from 210 Broad St. (directly across the street from the National Hotel)

— Haunted Nevada City Chinese Quarter to Stonehouse tours will depart 7:30 p.m. Sundays from 315 Commercial St. (Commercial at York).
