Halloween Carnival set Saturday at Fairgrounds

A family-friendly Halloween Carnival will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, Main Street Building, in Grass Valley.

Admission is $5, which includes:

All carnival games

The Cupcake Walk


Face Painting

The Annual Costume Contest


And lots of candy!!!

In addition, the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will be there from 9 to 11 a.m. offering tethered hot air balloon rides to the community at no charge.

Rides will be limited to the first 100 in attendance and weather permitting.

There will be plenty of free parking through Gate 1.

The event was formerly run by the Fairgrounds Foundation under the name Halloween Fun Day. The event has grown substantially in the last few years.

Last year, the Fairground’s Foundation decided not to host the event.

This year, RE/MAX Performance company has stepped up to host the carnival.

“We will be offering a great time once again to the community,” said John and Teresia Renwick of RE/MAX, lead organizers.
