Gratitude and giving the GIFT

Machen MacDonald

One of the fastest paths to abundance and well-being is by way of gratitude. The question, “What are you thankful for?” always has us take inventory of our blessings. Where do your thoughts typically go when asked that question?

Most people will look to their past or present for that which they are thankful.

There is also a magic in giving thanks for the awareness and thoughts you have around what is possible for yourself and others in the future.

Giving thanks for what you are creating and who you are becoming unlocks the gateway to experiencing new personal and professional relationships and successes.

Gaining a clear vision of where we are headed and giving thanks in advance for its achievement infuses us with an energy and focus that pulls us closer to the actual occurrence.

During the holiday months, we focus on giving thanks. We tend to be more inclined to actually acknowledge one another when passing on the sidewalks.

There seems to be a bit more compassion and forgiveness in the air. Humanity moves to the forefront, and in business, there tends to be more productivity.

Granted, it is year end. There is an eye on closing out the year strong and salespeople endeavoring to achieve bonuses and the like. However, I believe what is really going on that contributes to increased productivity and profitability is, through an attitude of gratitude, we actually limit and perhaps even eliminate the resistance that holds us back from achieving what we want.

This time of year has its way of shining the light on being thankful for all that is good.

With giving thanks being the focus this week, I would ask you to notice what is the greatest gift you can give of yourself in addition to thanks? I would like you to consider that you yourself are a gift.

Consider this, when others give of themselves to you in a way that generates inspiring feelings and thoughts, what becomes possible for you in your life? How does that make you feel?

In addition to just giving thanks for your gifts and blessings this season and beyond, I would encourage you to realize you are a GIFT. Ask yourself, “How can I Generate Inspiring Feelings & Thoughts (GIFT) in others?

Thank you to all of you who read my column each week and support me. You truly are a gift to me, and I appreciate you.

Giving and receiving creates harmonious relationships.

Harmonious relationships allow us all to witness the abundance and well-being that is always in existence.

Make it up, make it fun and make it happen!
