Foothills Fusion Dance is moving their weekly dance event to Thursday evenings at the Odd Fellows Hall in Nevada City, as of next Thursday, Sept. 22.

On their opening night, there will be live music with Peter Wilson. It is also a costume theme night! Inspired by the name of the venue dancers are encouraged to get “odd” and dress up with playful accessories like fake mustaches, wigs or other oddities.

The event, previously held on Fridays at the Golden Empire Grange in Grass Valley, has been very well attended since it began almost two years ago.

There is a lesson every week from 7-8 p.m. and a social dance from 8-11 p.m. $15 at the door (212 Spring St., Nevada City). No partner is necessary and all skills and experiences are welcome. A DJ plays a variety of music and the dance style is a fun, easy to learn form of partner dance that fuses many different styles of dance to create something totally unique and highly improvisational. https://www.facebook.com/events/630081630493616/
