Family Fun Day returns to The Center for the Arts on Saturday with a full day of free entertainment and activities — including the return of the Amazing Bubble Man and an exhibition of aerial dance by AirAligned.

Louis Pearl is the Amazing Bubble Man. Pearl has been thrilling audiences around the world for nearly 30 years with the art, magic, science and fun of bubbles.

Pearl explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerized.

From square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, tornados and trampolines to people inside bubbles, the Amazing Bubble Man conjures shrieks of laughter and gasps of amazement from all ages.

At Scotland’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he has sold out every year for the last eight years.

AirAligned Academy began with support from The Center for the Arts and offers aerial arts for students of all ages. They offer training for students from local schools and university dance majors. The Academy’s Advanced Students are being trained to become professional performance artists.

Guided by AirAligned’s Artistic Director Tresa Honaker, students are provided with audition paths for careers in the performance world.

Because AirAligned focuses on aerial movement as a professional performance art, they are recognized by the state of California through Warehouse Artist Lofts in Sacramento.

Family Fun Day is presented with support from Intero, the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation, Jardin Del Rio Farmers Market, Walton’s Grizzly Lodge and Rincon Del Rio.
