Submitted photo

Behold the Star!, a Christmas concert presented by the choir of Calvary Bible Church, will begin at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The community is invited to an afternoon of music as they celebrate the birth of Jesus in song. The annual Christmas Concert is free and everyone is invited. Doors will open at 3 p.m.

The 90-minute concert features the 42-voiced Adult Choir, soloists and small groups, instrumentalists and congregational singing. It features several musical genres, including seasonal favorites. The concert will conclude with the beautiful Cantata, “Behold the Star,” a Christmas journey to the light of Christ. The choir will also welcome back former Pastor of Music Marc Billigmeier and his wife, Glenda, as they narrate the story of the star that leads to Bethlehem.

Calvary Bible Church is located on Highway 174, just past Empire Mine and across from Union Hill School. For information, contact director Cherry Hayes at (530) 273-1343, ext. 20, or email her at cherry@cherryhayes.net.
