Pultizer Prize winner Gary Snyder will appear at Wolf Creek Alliance's fundraiser Sunday.

Pulitzer Prize winning poet Gary Snyder — just added to artist lineup of the Wolf Creek Alliance fundraiser at Wild Eye Pub, taking place Sunday.

Snyder will share his new and old poems on loving watersheds at this event.

The fundraiser is part of the “Know Your Watershed” campaign, and will begin with tiny biodegradable boat races in Wolf Creek and a water quality monitoring demonstration. Prizes will be awarded. At 3:30 p.m. there will be a “State of Wolf Creek” presentation, following by live music and dancing from 4 to 7 p.m. Live entertainment will include Charly Price, Harmony Groove and The New Peace Choir.

Snyder is the author of sixteen collections of poetry and prose. He has lived in the Sierra Nevada foothils since 1970, and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1975, as well as the National Book Award in 1992. He has also been awarded the Bollingen Poetry Prize and the Robert Kirsch Lifetime Achievement Award.
