Auditions open for new variety show at Nevada City Elks

The Nevada City Elks chapter is issuing a casting call to all Nevada County performing artists to audition for a spot on their upcoming variety show in February 2016.

This is a benefit show to support the Elk’s charity, Major Project.

Major Project provides physical, cccupational and speech language therapy to children in remote areas via mobile vans in California and Hawaii.

There are 13 therapists providing the services.

There is no charge to the families of the children and the therapy takes place right in the child’s home.

Because this is a true variety show, all acts will be considered.

Possibilities might include: jugglers, tap dancers, comedians, singers or more.

Open to all performers of all ages. Auditions will be held on successive Tuesday evenings throughout November and early December.

To schedule an audition or for more information, call 415-519-7221 or 530-615-1687.There is a size limitation on the stage, so larger groups are excluded from the call.

The theme for the show is “Be History, Be There,” with the idea of it becoming an annual event.
