‘Art of the Wild’ to raise funds for wildlife rehabilitation nonprofit

Join Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release for the Art of the Wild celebration from 5-9 p.m. April 30 at Nevada City Picture Framing in the Seven Hills Business District.

Wildlife photography and artwork by Margie Determan, Ed Rotberg, Dave McClellan, Jerrianne Van Dyke, Daniel Brooks, Linda Adams and more will be featured in the gallery.

A variety of goodies, wine and other beverages will complement the evening along with a silent auction and wildlife-themed merchandise for sale. The Wildlife Ambassadors will be on hand for up-close viewing.

A $5 donation is suggested. All proceeds will go to support the care and feeding of the many animals, birds, and bats requiring rehabilitation each year. Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release is an all-volunteer organization that provided care for more than 1,200 critters in 2014. Its mission is to rehabilitate and release native injured or orphaned wildlife.
