“A View from the Bridge” will be broadcast live at Sierra Cinemas 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1.
The great Arthur Miller confronts the American dream in this dark and passionate tale. In Brooklyn, longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. But when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Eddie’s jealous mistrust exposes a deep, unspeakable secret – one that drives him to commit the ultimate betrayal.
The Young Vic in the West End has built a powerful reputation over the last 40 years as a place where young directors can practice their art alongside the world’s great theatre artists. The current production of A View from the Bridge is the top theatre pick from the Evening Standard, Guardian, and Independent for 2014. It has been called, “magnetic, electrifying, astonishingly bold” – and has garnered 5-Star reviews from the city’s top critics.
The visionary Ivo van Hove directs this stunning production, starring Mark Strong (“The Imitation Game,” “Tinker,” “Tailor,” “Soldier,” “Spy”).
