For the seventh year, Mikail Graham will present an evening of top talent to rock Miners Foundry Cultural Center. Excitement is building for the annual holiday musical celebration, Night of Giving: A Benefit for Hospitality House Saturday. All proceeds from the event benefit the nonprofit organization that provides the community shelter for the homeless in Nevada County.

The fundraiser is a family holiday event. Among the dozens of performers will be Buffalo Gals, Terry Riley, Leta’s Blues, Paul Kamm and Eleanore MacDonald, Kelly Fleming and Che Greenwood, Peter Wilson, Redbud Ramblers, Star Dust, Mountain Laurel Duo, Steve Holland, Dakota Sid, Lorrain Gervais and Friends, Earls of Newtown and the Nevada Union High School Choir.

The music begins at 4 p.m. and runs nonstop until 10 p.m. Food will be available for purchase by Diego’s, Matteo’s Public, Tofanelli’s, The Lake House, Old 5Mile House, Jim E’s Catering & Club 141, and Goldrush Burgers & BBQ. Drinks are available at a no-host bar.

The evening will feature poetry, music, food, beverages and testimonials from people who have benefited from and supported Hospitality House since it opened its doors to the neediest in our community in fall 2004. Please come and connect with others in the community who support good music and this important cause.

Musician/producer Graham is a third-generation native of Nevada City and a founding broadcaster of KVMR. He has been coordinating musical events since the early 1970s and plays with several local bands.

Suggested donation for advance tickets is $20. Children ages 12 and younger are free. Tickets are available at The Book Seller and Briar Patch Co-op in Grass Valley, Harmony Books in Nevada City, at the door and through Hospitality House’s website http://www.hospitalityhouseshelter.org.
