6 women writers to read at Fall Salon Saturday

Six emerging and established women writers will read at the Women’s Writing Salon, 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at The Open Book, 671 Maltman Drive, Grass Valley

As is the celebrated tradition for the Fall Salon, the six women will read from from their works of poetry, memoir, non-fiction and fiction.

The fall line-up features: Magdalena Curtis (fiction/memoir), Shirley Dickard (creative non-fiction), Beverly Korenwaser (poetry), Judie Rae (poetry), Marilyn Souza (poetry) and Eleanor Vincent (novelist/memoir).

Co-Producer Julie Valin says, “It’s always exciting to select the variety of women writers that we think represent their genres in new and interesting ways, like a mixed-tape of words! Nov. 7’s line-up will not disappoint.”

The event is open to the public, with a suggested donation of $5.
