Nevada City Elks Lodge is seeking cast members for its Second Annual Variety Show.

The event, which allows local residents to display their talents on behalf of fundraising for a community nonprofit, is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Lodge on Highway 49, Nevada City.

“This event was a huge success last year,” said co-organizer Bob Sak. “It will again provide the community with an opportunity to enjoy a fun evening of local talent, while funding an important project that provides therapy to children with disabilities.”

The show will include singers, dancers, magicians, guitarists, impersonators and bands.

“These talented people will donate their time to provide a great evening of entertainment, while supporting a very worthwhile cause,” Sak said. He added that the Elks’ major project, also known as the Purple Pig, fully funds a professional staff that includes pre-school vision screeners, occupations therapists, physical therapists and speech therapists.

All of these therapists provide in-home services and travel all over California and Hawaii.

Auditions for the cast will be held throughout October. Contact co-producers Sak at 415-519-7221 or Kevin Fraser at 415-845-7171 to set up an interview or audition.

For more information, feel free to call the Nevada City Elks Lodge at 530-265-4920.
