Thursday night U.S. President Donald Trump gave the order to fire 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian base in response to 100 civilians believed to have been killed by chemical weapons.

Following the attack Trump addressed the nation:

An NBC report stated that Syrian officials claimed at least six people were killed. The Pentagon said civilians were not targeted and the strike was aimed at a military airfield in Homs. All but one of the missiles hit their intended target, one U.S. military official told NBC News.
