How Do I Log in?
You can click the login link at the top of the page or go to http://reg.theunion.com.

What if I've forgotten my password?
You can go to http://reg.theunion.com/remind and enter your email address, you will be asked to answer the secret question that you selected when you originally registered on our site. If you have forgotten the answers you can have the site email you those answers.

How do I get to the eEdition?
You can now access the eEdition for free under the home tab of the navigation bar by clicking the link that says "Print Edition Online".

Where do I find past articles?
Articles in the main sections of the Union.com (NEWS, SPORTS, OPINION, etc.) show the current day's news. To find articles for days other than today, go to the ARCHIVES section.

Our database management vendor is currently having trouble with the keyword function. We are aware of the problem and are working on a solution.

From the ARCHIVES section you can look at articles since Jan 1st, 2002<!-- or before Jan 1st, 2002-->. The articles since Jan 1st are FREE and are on the Union.com.

If you want newsprint copies of past articles, you can go to our location in Grass Valley. Issues of the most recent three months are available for viewing in The Union lobby at 464 Sutton Way, Grass Valley. Copies may be purchased for 50˘, subject to availability.

A comprehensive collection of past issues of The Union dating from 1865 along with other local publications is available on microfilm. The collection is maintained by the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research located at 211 North Pine Street in Nevada City.

The Doris Foley Library for Historical Research is a branch of the Nevada County Library system.

Facilities are available at the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research for copying microfilmed pages. Please note that the staff has a limited amount of time available to do searches of the microfilm library for folks who live out of the area. There is a nominal fee for researching and providing photocopies.

For more information about the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research, point your browser to www.mynevadacounty.com/library and navigate to “Branch Locations and Hours” and then to “Doris Foley Library for Historical Research.”

Hours for the Doris Foley Historical Research Library are Monday through Friday, 10am -4pm.

Where are the Obituaries?
The obituaries are accessable in the top navigation bar under the News tab, click the Obituaries link.

Where can I buy a printed copy of The Union?
A full list of neighborhood locations where you can find a printed copy of The Union is available on the home navigation bar by clicking on the "Subscriber Services" link

When is TheUnion.com updated?
All day, every day... we update the site as local and national news breaks.

How does TheUnion.com differ from the printed edition?
TheUnion.com has all of the stories from our print editions plus additional national and international stories than the print version. Online we have multi-media features and an online community interface that allows you to share your thoughts, comments, photos and interests with other members of our community.

Although there are some 'display' ads on TheUnion.com, they are completely different from the display ads in The Union print edition. To see the print edition online you can click the link on the News navigation bar that says "print edition online"
