Support our local NCTV

NCTV showcases the independent and creative and local talent of Nevada County. NCTV televises local football, basketball and baseball, yet cable provider Comcast is dropping the ball by not fulfilling its obligation of supporting public access TV. Comcast has a monopoly of cable TV throughout the area and thus is mandated by federal law to pay to the county 5 percent of gross revenue – i.e. $300,000 a year. Comcast is not doing it. When are these slackers going to step up to the plate and take care of business? Write to Comcast President and CEO Brian Roberts and tell him what is going on in our community. Otherwise, Friday Night football will go dark this fall.
