Police Blotter: Theft, assaults and stolen vehicles

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

7:04 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man with brown hair and a cast on his arm acting very strange, walking in and out of the store and acting very suspicious, asking clerks to remove his staples from his arm.

10:10 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of McNab Circle reported a black and white Great Dane who appears to be in very bad physical condition, roaming through her neighborhood.

11:54 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Alta Street reported a vehicle stolen sometime since 10 p.m. last night. The vehicle is a 1987 Toyota 4-Runner with an unknown plate and the keys were left in the vehicle and the brakes were inoperable.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported her wallet has been missing since she shopped at a nearby business.

3:13 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported graffiti sprayed on the walls by a rear entrance of the old Pet Mine business.

3:58 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a suspicious transient male in front of the store in a black shirt with a dog sitting near a mattress center.

5:25 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported an assault just occurred and that he was walking with a tray in his hand and a male in his 20s knocked the tray down and another male punched him in the face.

6:58 p.m. — A caller from McKnight Way reported three male juveniles with black stocking caps over their faces walking through businesses.

7:26 p.m. — A caller from Dorsey Drive reported a theft of a Honda water pump from the Dorsey construction site.

10:02 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a beat up red truck occupied by a male in his 30s with dark colored fluffy hair approached her 13-year-old daughter at about 11:30 a.m. asking if she wanted a ride.

9:58 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of West Main Street reported a subject in her attic that was left open and she can hear subjects walking.

Monday

3:24 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported an unknown male keeps knocking on her door and is out in front of her apartment.

9:55 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Road reported two women in their 80s stuck on a ladder who cannot get down.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 20000 block of Morning Sun Lane reported a mountain lion just crossed his property walking towards Woodbury.

10:09 p.m. — A caller from the 27000 block of Sweetland Road reported an unknown subject behind his walnut trees in the back of his property.

11:16 p.m. — A caller from Black Forest and Pleasant Valley roads reported a subject in the emergency room wishes to report a cold assault that occurred Friday.

Monday

1:22 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported a group of juveniles assaulted him by punching him in the eye at the gas station while he was getting into his vehicle.

Friday

2:59 a.m. — A caller from Washington Street reported she was tackled by two white male adults and dragged to the ground and was able to punch one of them and flee.

11:05 a.m. — A caller from New Mohawk Road reported two abandoned vehicles that were “tagged.”

2:24 p.m. — A caller from North Pine Street reported a white male adult walking up Pine Street from the veterans hall in a white T-shirt, green pants talking to himself and cars as he passes.

8:34 p.m. — A caller from South Pine Street reported a possible tampering to a vehicle. The caller is a mechanic and thinks one of the cars he was working on has been stolen and he is unable to reach the owners.

8:50 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported a male who has been drinking passed out under the side stairs of the Nevada Theatre/Bonanza lot.

10:32 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street and National Alley reported he returned home and discovered a note on his vehicle that was parked at the above location earlier and that the note says someone hit his vehicle and there was a negative answer to the phone number on the note.

Saturday

1:38 a.m. — A caller from Manzanita Diggins Drive reported fireworks being set off across Highway 20.

2:33 a.m. — A caller from Commercial Street passed out in front of the gutter in front of the Crazy Horse.

1:53 p.m. — A caller from Maidu Avenue reported a German Shepherd running loose in the area of the above location and the dog may be on Highway 49.

Sunday

12:27 p.m. — A caller from Broad and South Pine streets reported a white male adult with an orange backpack and sunglasses walking up the street screaming at everybody.

Monday

8:38 a.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a white male adult aged 30-35 wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, black jacket, duffel bag and a mustache who is being very aggressive and yelling at people passing.
