Alta Sierra property owners want answers

Why has the Alta Sierra Property Owners Association’s board of directors refused to meet openly with Alta Sierra’s property owners?

What are the directors afraid of? What are they hiding?

They don’t want to admit that they have been working toward a mandatory HOA for more than a year, secretly spending over $15,000 — all from ASPOA members’ dues; none of it came out of board members’ wallets — on the project. They don’t want to hear that they should have asked the property owners before starting work or spending a dime. They don’t want to talk about their plans for compulsory HOA dues, fines and foreclosures.

They don’t want to deal with the first board recall campaign in Alta Sierra’s history. Alta Sierra residents have asked the board to explain its actions and expenditures. The board does not answer. We have petitioned for an open meeting. The board has not acknowledged our request. The board — which claims to be transparent — is afraid of a meeting where Alta Sierra residents will speak freely, so we will have one of our own.

Please join us from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Alta Sierra Pizza, Highway 49 and Alta Sierra Drive. Come and speak your mind.
