Wake up, America

Ron Lowe’s letter (July 31) regarding the achievements of Obama was really amazing! To actually claim that the last five and a half years have been successful and Obamacare is working well are both absurdities.

Not only are most Republicans opposing Obama’s policies, now many Democrats are beginning to realize how uninvolved and lawless he is. Constantly bypassing congress and making unilateral decisions (and changing laws) is hurting him more and more every day.

Every decision he makes is completely dependant on corruption, pressure from unions and huge Democratic donors. Therefore, we have no immigration laws or humane deportation laws; no solution to the IRS scandal or VA mess; no answers to the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi (one terrorist has been arrested); and not one attempt (or interest in) releasing the U.S. Marine held in a Mexican prison, although Obama did receive a petition (with 100,000 signatures) to free him.

The achievements Obama has made are: 50 percent of all Americans are now on welfare and food stamps; endless free entitlements and “freebees” that endear him to all the low-information people and the largest debt in history! There are millions of people totally out of touch with our government. I’ve watched many interviews with college students around the country who have no idea who our vice president is; have never even heard of Benghazi or Fast & Furious; can’t identify any politicians, yet every single student instantly knew Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

I helped elect Obama in 2008 and realized almost instantly that he was not trustworthy when he lied about the Affordable Care Act. Why people continue to trust and believe in him amazes me. He insisted there was not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS! Doesn’t this deceit mean anything to people like Ron Lowe? Wake up, America!
