Multiple car thefts highlight police blotter

Friday

5:05 p.m. - A caller from the 27000 block of Highway 49 reported a theft of items.

5:44 p.m. - A caller from the 10000 block of Pittsburg Mine Road reported fraudulent withdrawals from her bank account.

5:49 p.m. - A caller from the 16000 block of Penn Valley Driver reported employees of a local fast food restaurant were smoking cigarettes in close proximity to a gasoline pump and when the employees were reported to a manager, the manager seemed unconcerned.

9:31 p.m. - A caller from the 900 block of Maidu Avenue reported a male subject sells methamphetamine in Colfax, drives a silver cadillac and has ruined the caller’s life.

11:51 p.m. - A caller from the 19000 block of Leopard Court reported a large party with about 100 people in attendance, many of whom were smashing items, banging on windows, etc.

5:34 a.m. - A caller from the 12000 block of Hoppy Hollow Road reported someone stole the electronic arm that opens his gate from off of his property.

7:21 a.m. - A caller from the 13000 block of Hidden Valley Road reported a suspicion that her neighbor hired somebody to cut trees down on her property without her permission.

1:08 p.m. - A caller from the intersection of Snow Mountain Ditch and Willow Valley Road reported motorcycles that were causing damage to a Nevada Irrigation Ditch trail.

1:13 p.m. - A caller from the 10000 block of Banner Lava Cap Road reported a car stolen from the driveway.

7:19 p.m. - A caller from Highway 49 reported that a subject in a passing vehicle shot a pellet gun at an off-duty firefighter, hitting his windshield.

9:58 a.m. - A caller from the 100 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of a leaf blower. 1:04 p.m. - A caller from the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported the theft of framed pictures from the bathroom of a restaurant.

4:52 p.m. - A caller from the 100 block of Harris Street reported ongoing graffiti in the neighborhood.

6:35 p.m. - A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a GMC truck stolen from the driveway.

10:16 p.m. - A caller from the 500 block of Spring Street reported the theft of a vehicle overnight.

5:00 p.m. - A caller reported an intoxicated person at a homeless camp. The caller described himself as “fearful” or the intoxicated individual.

5:13 p.m. - A caller from Sacramento Street reported a loose pit bull near Gold Run School.
