I am writing in response to the Other Voices column that ran Oct. 24, “A little communication could save big $.” The article criticizes Grass Valley for the maintenance of Rattlesnake Road. Unfortunately, Rattlesnake Road is not maintained by the city of Grass Valley. It is maintained by my organization, Nevada County Public Works Department. The situation described by Mr. Fosburg involves center-line striping, which was obliterated by recent asphalt patches.
