Police blotter: Daffodil-digging thief reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

8:57 a.m. — A caller from the 1700 block of East Main Street reported illegal dumping of trash.

9:35 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported a former roommate damaged an apartment and stole items.

10:24 a.m. — A woman requested an officer speak to her juvenile regarding ongoing shoplifting issues.

10:59 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Broadview Avenue reported a fraud.

2:51 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Sparrow Circle reported a possible scam email.

2:55 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a shoplifter, who was cited and released to a parent.

3:55 p.m. — A caller from Colfax Avenue and Clark Street reported a man on the ground bleeding from the head and face, who also had his pants down. No assault was found to have occurred.

9:53 p.m. — A caller from South Auburn Street reported the theft of a purse from a business.

Tuesday

2:29 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man shoplifted. He was arrested on suspicion of petty theft, possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

8:10 a.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Foothill Road reported identity theft.

9:02 a.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Jones Bar Road reported a shop building and possibly a camper had been broken into.

9:15 a.m. — A caller from the 25000 block of Long Court reported possible drug activity.

10:48 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Highland Drive reported a fraud.

11:03 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lone Lobo Trail reported a fraud.

11:51 a.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive reported a scam on his work phone from someone saying they were from the district attorney’s office.

12:10 p.m. — A woman from the 20000 block of Wolf Creek Road reported a man assaulted her. She did not need medical attention. The situation was mediated. She called back at 5:41 p.m. to report another assault; it was mutual combat.

12:32 p.m. — A caller from Spenceville Road and Devonshire Circle reported a man and a woman walking in the road in traffic who appeared to be under the influence. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

12:45 p.m. — A caller from Lime Kiln Road and Maggie Lane reported a man walking with a shotgun.

1:13 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Hatchet Creek Road reported trespassing.

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Aileen Way reported a screen door to a vacant residence had been slashed. Nothing was missing.

3:39 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Willow Valley Road reported a scam phone call.

4:08 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alpine Lane reported a large amount of marijuana being grown.

5:24 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of John Barleycorn Road reported a man assaulted her. She did not want charges.

7:25 p.m. — A caller reported a man’s vehicle was stuck in Greenhorn Creek; help was en route.

7:51 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick Road and Loma Rica Drive reported a vehicle spinout.

8 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of John Born Road reported a residential burglary; no burglary was found to have occurred.

8:39 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Maybert Road reported a man was outside, knocking on the windows, who thinks people are after him and who is hallucinating.

9:04 p.m. — A woman reported sliding off the road at Gracie and Banner Lava Cap roads.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Laws Ranch Road reported a man peeled out in a truck, leaving a woman who appeared to have been beaten. No one could be located.

Friday

2:22 p.m. — A caller from Boulder Street and Park Avenue reported a woman whose face was painted in various colors in and out of the road. She agreed to stay on the sidewalk.

2:24 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Commercial Street reported a man looking into cars and yelling at people.

Saturday

12:32 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a physical fight.

12:41 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Washington Street reported a man at the door begging to come in. He could not be located.

2:13 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Park Avenue reported a man outside wanting to come in.

Sunday

3:23 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a man just broke into a room.

11:22 a.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Gold Flat Road reported a woman digging up daffodils. She could not be located.

3:36 p.m. — A caller from Coyote and Commercial streets reported a stolen vehicle with a dog inside.

Monday

8:31 a.m. — A caller from South Pine and Broad streets reported a theft from a locked vehicle.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Nevada Street reported people doing drugs.
