Police blotter: Craigslist hooker ad a fake

Thursday

9:01 a.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported a man and a woman in a physical fight. A man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

11:01 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a transient might have moved into an open shed in the backyard of a vacant house. Extensive damage was found and a burglary report was taken.

1:39 p.m. — A caller from Whiting and West Empire streets reported a man in a vehicle had been passed out at a stop sign and then drove away. He was located at his residence, was in the shower and refused to cooperate. He said he could get himself to the hospital.

7:17 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a man and a woman shoplifting; they could not be located.

11:09 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Neal Street reported a woman might have broken into an apartment.

11:10 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Partridge Road reported a boy and a girl came to the door and asked for cigarettes. They seemed to be under the influence of a controlled substance and the girl was wearing socks but no shoes.

1:29 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported a person might have forced a woman to get in a Jeep and stole a cell phone and swords.

10:26 a.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Casa Loma Drive reported a person posted a sales listing as a rental on several websites.

1:14 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Betty Way reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle.

1:19 p.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported a woman keyed equipment.

2:05 p.m. — A caller reported a person selling drugs to a 14-year-old.

2:13 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Ridge Road requested extra patrols due to transients breaking in and stealing things from a vacant house.

3:07 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Murphy Road reported a dispute over transients living on a property and dumping black water.

10:03 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Fair Oaks Drive reported someone posted a fake Craigslist ad of a 16-year-old girl soliciting herself, and now she was getting inappropriate text messages.

11:35 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Greenhorn Road reported someone growing marijuana on his property.

9:34 p.m. — Several callers from Spring and Bennett streets reported hearing a gunshot; nothing was located.
