An open letter to Sheriff Royal

Keith, your posting on “My Nevada County” is clear, concise and thoughtful regarding the Second Amendment of our sacred Constitution, which has been under ever-increasing attack by our leftist — more accurately fascist — federal government.

I am deeply concerned about the possibly irreversible direction our great nation has taken and see a very clear parallel to Nazi Germany of 1938 and several other totalitarian regimes, which first controlled firearm possession, then seized them from citizens and left the populace indefensible against tyranny and genocide. It is an open secret that FEMA has been stockpiling ammunition, firearms and coffins, as well as creating “relocation” camps for “dissidents,” such as my law enforcement brothers, sisters and veterans.

Would you please utilize your position as president of the California State Sheriffs Association to entertain a motion that the entire organization join you and four or five other California sheriffs already on board to unanimously advise the current administration in Washington that we will not stand idly by as our Constitution, Bill of Rights and, indeed, our nation are assaulted. The Utah Sheriffs Association did just that recently, stating, “We, like you, swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and we are prepared to trade our lives for the preservation of its traditional values.”

Thank you for all of your efforts in upholding your mission statement and serving your constituents.
