The Nevada County Sportsmen’s Club has received a $12,504.48 NRA grant to help fund their youth shooting sports program. The program consists of rifle target shooting, trap shooting and archery target shooting.
The funds will be used to provide safety and proficiency training, hunter safety training, rifles, shot guns, bows and arrows, targets and ammunition for all of their training.
The money to fund these Grants is raised by the Friends of NRA at dinner auctions held in Northeast California. The FNRA is a non-profit fund raising arm of the NRA Foundation with funds used to support all of the shooting sports. This consists of youth, women, handicap and adult shooting sports. Grants may also be provided for law enforcement equipment, high school shooting teams, range improvement, and repair projects, also special Boy Scout and 4-H shooter training and competition events.
The Nevada County Sportsmen’s Club wishes to thank the NRA and the Friends of NRA for the Grant they have received and for their continued support of the shooting sports program. These grants make it possible to fund and promote the knowledge, safety and proficiency training to all ages and genders of firearm users.
