Not unanimous

Recently a faction, that is to say not by a unanimous vote of the members, of the Nevada County Republican Central Committee voted to endorse only one of the Republican candidates running for our District 1 assembly seat.

I feel that action may send a wrong message to the voter, perhaps indicating to the voter that the candidate not endorsed does not meet Republican standards in some way. In my opinion that is not the case.

Both candidates, Rick Bosetti and Brian Dahle, as Republicans who both made it through the primary election due to the new rule dictated by the recent passing of Proposition 14, known when it was passed as the Top Two Primaries Act, are both exemplary Republicans in good standing. It is my opinion either candidate would vote on legislation that comes before him in the State Assembly in keeping with the fiscally responsible, limited government, true Republican platform.

So to the voter, I urge you to consider either of these Republican candidates and feel certain in your choice that he will serve you as expected, as a Republican committed to his constituents of Nevada County, State Assembly District 1 and the State of California.
