Sierra road work schedule: Sunday - Saturday

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from west of Auburn to Colfax: Work continues on a $40.4 million project to:

Rehabilitate the roadway utilizing rubberized asphalt concrete

Rehabilitate the Applegate on/off ramps

Upgrade traffic operation system elements

The estimated completion date is fall 2006.

November 14 - 18 On I-80 at several locations between the State Route 193 Junction and the State Route 174 Junction: Motorists can expect various westbound lane and ramp closures from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning. A contractor is scheduled to do approach slab and bridge deck work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from west of Gold Run to Emigrant Gap. Work continues on a $33.1 million project to:

Rehabilitate the roadway and chain on/off areas utilizing Portland concrete cement.

Extend a truck climbing lane west of Blue Canyon Interchange.

Upgrade traffic operation system elements.

The estimated completion date is fall 2006.

Also, the following ramps remain closed as follows:

Alta eastbound on-ramp will be closed for approximately 1 week.

Signs will inform motorists of the closures and of detours that will be available.

November 14 - 18

On westbound I-80 between Drum and Alta and on eastbound I-80 between Alta and Nyack: Motorists can expect various lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County): Work continues on a $3.2 million dollar project to construct two-lane traffic roundabouts on I-80 at the South State Route 89 interchange. Completion is expected in the winter of 2005.

November 14 - 18

Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for miscellaneous construction work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from the Yuba County line to Interstate 80: Motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clean ditches.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) at Penn Valley Drive: Motorists can expect intermittent highway closures from 6:30 - 8:30 on Tuesday. A work crew is scheduled for overhead utility work.

State Route 28 (Placer County) from the Estates Drive left-turn to the Agatam Ave. West left-turn: Motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do electrical work.

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Park Lane to Speed Boat Avenue: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A contractor is scheduled to clear roadside drains.

State Route 49 (Nevada/Yuba Counties) from the Placer County Line to Marysville Road: Motorists can expect the #1 northbound and southbound lane closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do brush clearing.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) at various locations from the North Yuba River to the Yuba Pass: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clear brush.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at Latrobe Road/ El Dorado Hills Blvd.: Motorists can expect ramp closures and detours from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday night through Friday morning. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

U. S. Highway 50 between Pyramid Creek and the California/Nevada State line: Motorist can expect various lane closures or one-way traffic control from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled for routine maintenance.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Boca to Floriston: Motorists can expect various westbound lane closures from 10 p.m. Sunday night to 10 a.m. Monday morning and from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m. the following day Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do pavement grinding.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Magra Road to Cisco: Motorists can expect various eastbound and westbound lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled for routine maintenance.

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Cisco Grove to the South Yuba River: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled for miscellaneous construction work.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from the Luther Pass to Eagle Falls Campground: Motorists can expect various lane closures or one-way traffic control at various locations from 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is doing routine maintenance work.

State Route 89 (Placer County) from the Truckee River Bridge to the El Dorado county line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled miscellaneous maintenance work.

State Route 193 (El Dorado County) from the Highway 49 junction to Cherry Acres Road: Motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A contractor is scheduled to do permit work.

State Route 267 (Placer County) from Martis Creek to the road to the Ranger Station right-turn: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. A contractor is scheduled to install a traffic signal.
