Community pitches in for Nevada City Little League

The Nevada City Little League would like to thank everyone in the community who helped make our annual Opening Day Pancake Breakfast a big success, despite the notable lack of baseball weather. Special thanks go out to the men and women of the Nevada City Police Officers Association and Nevada City Fire Department who braved the more or less constant downpour to griddle up delicious pancake after pancake and countless sausages. Thank you!

In addition, we’d also like to recognize our generous donors and sponsors, including both Caroline’s Coffee and 49er Fun Park. And as always, we appreciate KVMR and The Union newspaper’s ongoing help in getting the word out for youth sports and activities.

Finally, nothing gets done in a volunteer organization without plenty of volunteers. Many thanks to all the parents and board members who pitched in to make the day great! They are too numerous to mention by name, but you know who you are. From Nevada City Little League to you — thank you, and we’ll see you at the ballpark.
