Chef Thyme — Wildwood’s New Chef ‘…Up and Running.’
March 20, 2017
It has been said before, but once again we are up and running at The Oaks. The culinary staff has been working diligently to prepare the meals to be tasty as well as pleasing to the eye. We have been reading all of the comment cards submitted and making every effort to improve and fine tune your dining experience.
The present menu is the result of the input from the Community Café sessions, as well as the comment cards. Thanks to all who have contributed to this. The basic menu will change with the seasons, and we hope to offer specials and new dishes to please the more adventurous diners.
Taco night has also been a big success. Although folks gather for the food, the emphasis is really on the social aspect of this event. A plate of tacos, beans and rice, along with an icy margarita or cold beer, go a long way to provide an ambience of community spirit and genuine camaraderie.
I am making an effort to meet and greet all of you as you enjoy the food our culinary team has prepared for you. They are the hidden force behind all of this and don't really get the recognition they deserve. The team is made up of a group of unique individuals who each bring something to the kitchen, so to speak. So, a compliment sent back to them is always appreciated.
Please continue to participate in the evolution of this beautiful facility we call The Oaks. We will make every effort to please your palate and tease your taste buds.
The discovery of a new dish does more for human happiness than the discovery of a new star. Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
