A Penn Valley man who had been charged with 36 counts of child molestation was sentenced to 24 years in prison after accepting a plea agreement. Kirk Iven Goodman, 36, was arrested Nov. 2, 2011, after Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at his home and seized a number of items for evidence, including computers. Goodman had pleaded not guilty to sexual intercourse with a child aged 10 or younger, oral copulation with a child aged 10 or younger, continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14 and witness intimidation.
