TAHOE CITY — One local woman was killed and another severely injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. Iuliana Leonte, 25, of Tahoe City was traveling at about 40-45 mph northbound in a 2002 Jeep on Highway 89 north of Fairway Drive at about 7:45 a.m. Monday when she lost control during a “sweeping right turn in the roadway,” according to Truckee CHP.
