Several Nevada County residents were seriously injured while trying to escape from a group of patch pirates Saturday night. Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene in the 23000 block of Perimeter Road at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday in response to a call of a possible robbery by suspects using a handgun and a fire extinguisher, according to dispatch reports.
