A woman who was killed after losing control of her vehicle and crashing head-on into a truck Friday morning on Highway 49 near Lone Star Road has been identified as Cynthia Griffis, 63, of Lake of the Pines. The crash was initially reported at 8:16 a.m., after Griffis’ Subaru begin to fishtail, crossed the center divider lane and entered the southbound lanes into oncoming traffic. The Subaru then collided head-on with a Freightliner truck driven by Anthony Savelly, 59, of Grass Valley.
