County supervisors gave a Caltrans representative a public tongue lashing Tuesday morning, criticizing the agency for starting a major detour of big rig trucks and buses onto the Highway 20 and 49 corridor without first seeking input from people living in Nevada County.Before entering Highway 20, all trucks and buses must receive a mandatory brake check before they are piloted in groups of 10 to 15 to Nevada City, said Caltrans Project Manager Doug Lang as part of his report to the board.
