Ryder Mackey Abbott, 1 year old, earned his angel wings all too early on Monday, July 28, 2014.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sun., Aug. 31 at 13100 Fawn Hill Drive in Grass Valley.
Ryder was born in Grass Valley on April 16, 2013, to Aimee Abbott, Ryder’s legacy began. The blessing of his sweet life brought overflowing love to his mother’s heart and joy to all of his family.
All who were lucky enough to experience Ryder’s infectious smile and see the love in his big brown eyes must know that his quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of his little lifetime.
Ryder loved his dogs, making no secrets of sharing all of his toys and snacks with them always. The sound of Ryder’s laughter was pure joy, whether he was giggling on a swing at the park or playing in the arms of his Grammy. Toddling around and the mobility that came with being 15 months old, always made for a fun adventure. Ryder loved nature and being outside, digging in dirt while mommy gardened.
Living on in his honor, Ryder is survived by his mommy Aimee Abbott; grandparents, Mack and Karen Abbott; Uncle Joe Abbott; Aunt Gigi Peace; and cousins, Jeremiah and Luke all of Grass Valley.
He is preceded in death by great-grandparents Jerry and Gwen Christie, and Uncle Jeff Peace.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Ryder’s memory to the Downtown Grass Valley Neal Street branch of Bank of America, account for Ryder Abbott. Funds will be invested in CPR Education and Awareness.
A sincere thank-you is expressed to those who have been there for all of the Abbott family during this difficult time and those that continue to be supportive through our loss.
