Schultz tourney returns to ASCC
June 21, 2013
Community Resource Recovery is bringing its classic Bill Schultz Golf Tournament back to the Alta Sierra Country Club.
Now in its 12th year, this event has become a local favorite. CoRR invites the public to bring its swing and friends July 21 and join in on a day of golf with an evening banquet and silent auction, thanks to generous businesses.
This golf classic also marks a celebration as CoRR nears the one year anniversary of the opening of The Campus in Grass Valley. The unique model wellness program for recovery and related behavioral health is the first of its kind in the nation, and 600 individuals and their families are now receiving support there to recover from addiction, and regain health, purpose and self-sufficiency.
All of the net proceeds from this event will go toward sustaining prevention and treatment programs that focus on families and serve both adolescents and adults with counseling for alcohol and other drug addictions; therapy; medical services; and school-based programs to help teens remain in school and free from alcohol and other drugs.
Check in and registration will begin at 10 a.m. as golfers and spectators enjoy putting contests and a luncheon. Registration is $125 and includes contests, luncheon, banquet dinner, golf cart, range balls and re-useable tote tee prize bags filled with goodies. There will be a noon shotgun start followed by silent auction, raffle, awards and banquet dinner as golfers return from the course. Non-golfers are welcome to attend silent auction and banquet.
Net proceeds of this event benefit programs provided by Community Recovery Resources, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been providing substance abuse treatment and mental health services throughout the Sierra Nevada since 1974.
If interested in joining as a golfer, a sponsor or both, contact CoRR at 530-273-7956 or visit the website at http://CoRR.us for information or easy online registration.
