The Magnolia Rattlers concluded a stellar season Saturday by winning the Nevada County Eighth-grade boys basketball tournament.

Magnolia beat Seven Hills in the championship game, getting a 3-pointer at the buzzer from Mason Ahrens.

That sent the game into overtime.

And an acrobatic layup from Zac Terra sealed the game for the Rattlers.

Zach Rubey and Clay Corripo were defensive standouts in the win.

Stephan Taylor led the team in scoring with 18 points.
