Nevada Union’s Hart claims silver at Joe Rios tourney

Nevada Union's T.J. Hart competes at the Joe Rios Memorial Tournament in Chico. Hart placed second in his weight class.

The Nevada Union wrestling team went to Chico to wrestle in the Joe Rios Memorial Tournament over the weekend.

Nevada Union senior T.J. Hart was the only one to medal, earning the silver medal after losing a close match in the finals.

Jesse Donohue, Nate Taylor and Matt Johnson all won matches on day one and they wrestled great. Hap Rowe and Kashe McHugh advanced to Saturday, winning more matches on day two.

The Miners hit the mat again Thursday when they host Roseville.
